Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers (KIE) has an immediate opening for a dynamic Design Engineering Director / Area Manager for our growing Design Management group in the Southeast. You will be part of our growing infrastructure engineering group, which includes structural, geotechnical, civil, drainage, roadway, rail, maritime and materials disciplines. You will be a primary engineering point of contact for our Southeast construction district, establishing key relationships with the teams that build the work we design. Candidate must have a strong presence in the Southeast region, particularly in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida.
As a Design Engineering Director, you will facilitate relationships with the engineering divisions of clients and partners throughout the Southeast region. You will manage design on design-build infrastructure programs, pursuits, and projects. You will provide mentoring and oversight to Design Managers, responsible for administering, assisting, and managing design to meet project, quality, financial, schedule, and construction objectives, consistent with Kiewit's Standard Operating Procedures. On particularly large, complex or risky projects, you will serve as Design Manager, responsible for the day-to-day leadership and execution of the project, ensuring all project objectives are achieved.
KIE's Design Management team drives clients to turn to Kiewit during all stages of design-build projects to manage their multi-disciplined design teams to improve schedule, control costs and minimize risk.
