Job summary

Rotating Machinery Services (RMS) seeks an experienced Design Engineer to join our Houston engineering and operations team. The position applies engineering training to inspection, disposition, modeling and design calculations for assigned product lines, with interface to senior engineers and potential travel to other locations for field work.

You will review drawings, write technical reports, perform design calculations, support 2D/3D CAD layout, and present results to colleagues.

Qualifications

• Strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills.
• Mechanical aptitude for machinery; ability to read drawings and inspection reports.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work with supervision to make independent decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, analyze and document product designs meeting function, cost, reliability, manufacturability and safety requirements.
• Assist experienced engineers while developing specialized engineering skills.
• Perform engineering analysis including preliminary designs and calculations.
