Job summary

Shape LLC is seeking an hands-on engineer to transform customer requirements into practical, manufacturable designs for transformers and magnetic components. You will develop prototypes, analyze test results, and troubleshoot design challenges, collaborating closely with manufacturing and quality teams.

The role emphasizes designing for manufacturability, cost-conscious decisions, and proactive support of customer applications and product costing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering discipline preferred.
• At least 3 years of engineering experience in manufacturing or product development.
• Proficiency in CAD and Excel, ability to create and interpret drawings, specs, and BOMs.
• Strong problem solving, attention to detail, and collaborative approach.

We’re looking for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges, testing ideas, and working closely with the people who build them.

Your impact

What you’ll bring

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or a related engineering discipline; electrical engineering preferred.
• At least 3 years of engineering experience in manufacturing or product development, including designing products for manufacturing.
• Proficiency in CAD and Excel, plus the ability to create and interpret drawings, specifications, and bills of material.
• Practical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach.

Experience with transformers, magnetics, power electronics, or related electromechanical products is strongly preferred. Prototype testing, 3D CAD, and familiarity with UL, CSA, or IEC standards are also valuable.
