This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. FTT will require proof of status prior to employment.


GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:


Designs and analyzes aircraft electrical, mechanical, propulsion, and component structures, systems, and processes.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


  1. The engineer will have a BS in an applicable engineering field.
  2. At least 8 to 12 years applicable work experience.
  3. Uses computer-aided design (CAD) to produce initial design and specifications for aircraft components.
  4. Conducts feasibility studies and testing on new and modified aircraft system designs.
  5. Documents changes through a formal engineering change notification process.
  6. Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
  7. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Builds productive internal/external working relationships.
  8. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
  9. Other job duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:


May mentor entry level engineers.

Education and Experience:


Requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 to 12 years of related experience.

  • Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones, rotating wrist, using tools/equipment).
