Job summary

REALIGN LLC is seeking an experienced design engineer in Wisconsin to contribute to mechanical design and product development. The role emphasizes hands-on CreoPart, assembly, and surfacing work to produce concept models for automotive components.

The candidate should be adept at interpreting mechanical systems, GD&T and manufacturing drawings, and collaborating across development phases to document results and support PPAP/ECN processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in understanding mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.
• Experience or capability in mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency with CAD (Creo) and PLM tools.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work independently on design conceptual jobs.
• Hands-on Creo-Part, Assembly and Surfacing for Concept Models.
• Design of sheet metal and plastic parts.
• Knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing drawings.
• Familiarity with automotive design phases including drafting, tolerancing, prototyping, ECN, PPAP, and documenting results.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

1. Experience in understanding mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
2. Experience or demonstrated capability in mechanical design and product development.

• Should be able to work independently on design conceptual jobs
• Hands on experience in Creo-Part, Assembly and Surfacing to generate Concept Models
• Should have hands on experience in designing of sheet metals, plastic parts.
• Should have hands on experience in practical knowledge of GD&T, Manufacturing drawings
• Knowledge on phases of the design process and development process for Automotive components including drafting, dimensioning, tolerancing, prototyping, ECN, PPAP and documenting results would be an added advantage
• Knowledge on different automotive product design and sheet metal press tools, fixture and gauge design, reverse engineering, Stack‑Up, VAVE would be an added advantage.
