Diodes Incorporated is seeking a Design Engineer to support the development of integrated circuit design with AI assistance. This role targets recent graduates with EE/EECS backgrounds and aims to contribute to analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit work.

The role involves collaboration with senior engineers on design, simulation, layout, testing, and validation from concept through production, at our Milpitas office in California.

Qualifications

• Foundational circuit design and lab experience.
• Experience with Python for automation beneficial.

Salary Range: $100,000.00 To $140,000.00 Annually

About the Role

iodes Incorporated is seeking a highly motivated Design Engineer to support the development of integrated circuit design with AI assistance. This role is ideal for a recent college graduate with a degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) who has foundational experience in circuit design, circuit layout, device physics, agentic AI, and laboratory-based engineering projects.

The Design Engineer will work closely with senior engineers on the integrated circuit design, simulation, layout, testing, and validation of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits while gaining exposure to product development cycle from concept through production.

This position is located at the Diodes Office in Milpitas, CA.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, layout, simulation, and validation of analog, digital, or mixed-signal circuits.
• Develop and execute application test bench to characterize circuit and system performance.
• Analyze test data and prepare technical reports and design documentation.
• Develop agentic AI scripts using Python to automate testing, data analysis, and engineering workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Engineering, Applications Engineering, and Test Engineering.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, or related field with GPA 3.5 GPA
• Recent college graduate
• Fundamental understanding any of the following :
  • Analog and digital circuit design
  • Experience with Python programming
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred

• Coursework or project experience in:
  • Analog IC design, mixed‑signal design
  • Semiconductor device physics and basic transistor operation
• Familiarity with circuit design and simulation tools and platforms
  • SPICE, Matlab and alike
  • Cadence, Synopsys, and alike
• Experience with Verilog, VHDL, C/C++, or additional programming languages.
• Participation/experiences integrated circuit design or semiconductor related projects.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $140,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, education, location, and business needs. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. This salary range represents the Company's good‑faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting.
