Job summary

Intellectt Inc is seeking an experienced Mechanical Thermal Design Engineer to support HVAC design, thermal management, and ventilation systems for data centers and IT facilities. The role requires hands-on AutoCAD/Autodesk proficiency and strong interpretation of engineering drawings to ensure proper equipment integration.

The position is onsite with a 12+ month duration and 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Thermal Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant mechanical design, thermal management, or ventilation system design experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC design, mechanical layouts, and equipment integration.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD/Autodesk tools and construction drawing interpretation.
• Ability to review equipment specifications and prepare detailed engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design conceptual and detailed HVAC, thermal management, and ventilation systems for data centers and power modules.
• Develop mechanical equipment layouts, integration drawings, cable management systems, and fire suppression layouts.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings using AutoCAD/Autodesk tools.
• Interpret construction drawings, equipment specifications, and technical documentation.
• Review and approve mechanical product submittals and support CFD analysis.
• Coordinate with structural and electrical engineering teams on mechanical integration and facility design.
• Research thermal technologies, data center equipment, and construction methods to support engineering solutions.
• Provide technical support for mechanical systems and resolve engineering design-related issues.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AutoCAD/Autodesk tools, mechanical layouts, equipment integration, and engineering drawing interpretation, along with knowledge of CFD analysis and cross-functional engineering coordination.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with data centers, AC/DC power modules, IT/Telecom infrastructure, or industrial facilities.
• Knowledge of CFD analysis and mechanical product submittal reviews.Experience with cable management systems, fire suppression layouts, and equipment integration.

Pay Scale:

$40–$45/hr (Contract) / $90K–$100K per annum (Full-Time), depending on experience.
