Job summary

Triton Metal Products seeks a skilled Design Engineer to drive world‑class design practices in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting. You will own projects from concept through completion, coordinating closely with production and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
• 3+ years in a Design Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks (CAD, Simulation, Composer), GD&T, and FEA tools.
• Preferred experience with welding, fixture design, and shop floor collaboration.
• Experience with APQP and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Strong communication and cross functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of Triton’s internal design process, structure, and project timelines.
• Translate customer requirements into multiple design iterations; lead design reviews and obtain approvals.
• Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate design integrity.
• Balance design constraints (cost, complexity, user experience) to deliver innovative solutions.
• Champion precision, standardization, and revision control in model and print workflows.
