Job summary

GENESYS offers a hands-on Design Engineering Internship where you’ll work with Project Engineers to produce construction drawings and designs for fabrication and installation of industrial process equipment. You’ll gain real-world experience on large-scale projects and collaborate across multiple departments to grow your technical and professional skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Inventor; SolidWorks acceptable.
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office programs.
• Basic understanding of mechanical mechanisms, machine design, and fabrication processes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; apply engineering concepts to real-world scenarios.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Engineers in creating clear fabrication detail drawings and installation layouts.
• Support the design of mechanical equipment, incorporating relevant standards and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, including sales, project management, fabrication, and installation.
• Check drawings for accuracy and completeness, including self-review of work.
• Visit jobsites for field measurements and assist in installation, start-up, and troubleshooting equipment as needed.
