Job summary

Kiewit offers a Design Engineer Intern position that provides hands-on experience across construction management, design engineering, and project support during the summer. You will assist with concept development, calculations, and plan development while learning industry standards and tools.

Ideal candidates are currently pursuing a civil engineering or construction management degree, enrolled at partner universities, and willing to travel.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related
• Enrolled at partner universities and member of the Kiewit Scholars Program
• Ability to travel or relocate as needed
• Ability to work full-time during the summer (May–August)
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Team player with ability to work independently
• Strong organization, time management
• Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
