The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering background and hands‑on experience with CAD software, ready to contribute to both product development and manufacturing operations in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and drafting (PTC Creo, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD preferred)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Superior problem solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical design of new product concepts through product development lifecycle and transfer to production
• Executing product changes and controlling existing product configurations
• Prepare technical proposals (including product features & benefits, project schedule, costs, test plans, etc.)
• Generate CAD, engineering drawings and product specifications
• Participate in or lead formal internal processes such as design reviews, engineering changes, FMEA, and contract reviews
• Interface with cross‑functional teams including quality, sales & marketing, electrical & software engineering, purchasing, planning, manufacturing, and outside vendors
• Technical liaison for other Amphenol products sold through APCD to North American customers
