Job summary

Centrotherm Eco Systems, LLC. is seeking a Design Engineer II to advance mid-level product design and validation for polypropylene venting systems and OEM components.

You will translate customer, code, and performance requirements into manufacturable designs and drive products from concept through first article and launch. You will work with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and customers (OEMs, distributors, contractors) to deliver solutions that balance quality, cost, and schedule while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–6 years of product design or manufacturing engineering experience, plastics or industrial products preferred.
• Strong proficiency with 3D CAD; Creo required (drawings, assemblies, BOMs).
• Experience creating engineering documents (work instructions, installation instructions, specs).
• Experience with test methods, verification planning, and lab equipment; interpret results and drive improvements.
• Familiarity with UL-1738, ULC-S636, ANSI Z21, and NFPA 54 (or ability to learn quickly).
• Plastic injection molding design experience including manufacturability and tooling collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design new products, assemblies, and customer components using Creo; create 3D models and drawings.
• Translate customer needs and standards into technical requirements for internal teams and customers.
• Maintain BOMs, specs, and technical documentation (work/installation instructions).
• Ensure designs meet codes and standards and apply DFMEA/PFMEA as needed.
• Support DFMA, lean initiatives, and cost-focused design improvements.
• Assist in tool, jig, fixture, and gauge development; coordinate with suppliers.
