Design Engineer II is responsible for product design activities including developing innovative designs and/or improving upon the performance and design of existing products. Will perform moderately complex engineering analysis to ensure designs meet project goals. Will support design schedules, lead test activities, and effectively communicate design status among peers and department leadership.

Highlights Of Your Role

  • Independently lead product design activity and test plans; able to manage and prioritize tasks for multiple and/or complex work packages. Apply applicable knowledge to product component and assembly designs to meet project performance goals and align with established project strategy.
  • Perform and document moderately complex engineering calculations and analysis, and work with vendors to develop production component designs. Independently develop or review designs in 3D CAD to ensure fit, form, and function are correct. Verify drawings and specifications for accuracy and design intent.
  • Communicate product design activities both formally and informally among peers and department leadership. Able to work with and leverage operations, materials, marketing, sales, support, and project managers to achieve project goals.

Compensation: $81,000 - $108,000 annually You're a good fit if you have (or if you can):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.S.) required
  • Experience in design and/or manufacturing processes required
  • Working knowledge of 3D Modeling software (Inventor preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Should have 2-4 years of Engineering design and development experience; demonstrated a proven track record of success on product development and/or continuous improvement projects.
  • Be willing to positively participate and contribute to a team environment, possess self-motivation skills, effectively communicate, be dependable and trustworthy
