Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, parts, and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Develop concepts from requirements, specs, and customer needs.
• Perform tolerance stack-ups, fit/clearance analysis, and basic calculations.
• Apply GD&T to manufacturing drawings and ensure manufacturability.
• Support prototype development, testing, validation, and release.
• Participate in design reviews and manage engineering changes.
• Maintain project progress reporting and documentation.

Job Summary

• Design and develop mechanical components, parts, and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Develop concepts based on engineering requirements, specifications, and customer needs.
• Perform tolerance stack-ups, fit and clearance analysis, and basic design calculations.
• Apply GD&T and appropriate engineering standards to manufacturing drawings.
• Design components for manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, and cost optimization.
• Review and modify existing designs to improve performance, reliability, and manufacturability.Collaborate with manufacturing, tooling, quality, materials, and analysis teams throughout the product development process.
• Support prototype development, testing, validation, and production release.
• Participate in design reviews and resolve technical issues related to mechanical components.
• Manage engineering changes and maintain accurate product design data and documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, company procedures, and customer requirements.
• Maintain weekly progress reporting (Project Management and project timesheet)
• Support facility and corporate strategic goals
• Adhere to General Requirements of Team Members
• Perform other assignments as required

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Good knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering drawing standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Basic knowledge of engineering concepts and principles of physics

PreferredSkills & Qualifications:

• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, casting, forging, injection molding, or fabrication.
• Good knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering drawing standards.

Required Experience and Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ Years experience in mechanical product/component design and development.
