Job summary

Metromont Corporation is seeking an entry-level Design Engineer for our Engineering team. The role requires learning and performing design tasks under close supervision, with opportunities to lead coordination meetings as you gain experience.

You will design parking decks, buildings, walls, and related connections, review documents, and collaborate with drafting subcontractors while ensuring compliance with Metromont standards and OSHA safety rules.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required (structural emphasis preferred).
• EIT preferred; PE not required.

Responsibilities

• Design parking decks, buildings, and wall products and connections.
• With assistance, design laterals.
• Independently manage design aspects with minimal guidance.
• Review contract documents to understand project requirements.
• Attend project meetings; may lead coordination meetings.
• Write RFIs and respond to questions from drafting subcontractors.
• Resolve engineering design issues (except laterals) and review shop tickets.
• Check design calculations and details for accuracy and adherence to Metromont standards.
• Complete repairs with assistance and adhere to safety rules.
