Job summary

Gonzalez Companies, LLC in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an early-career Design Engineer to contribute to infrastructure, site development, water/wastewater, and building systems projects. You will work with a team of engineers, assist with design decisions, and gain hands-on experience in design, project delivery, and client service.

Ideal candidates have 0-4 years of experience, a Civil or Environmental engineering degree, and familiarity with CAD/BIM tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental engineering.
1+ years of relevant engineering design experience; EIT preferred.
Experience with CAD/BIM tools and relevant codes/regulations.

Responsibilities

Develop designs, plans, and specifications for infrastructure, site development and building systems.
Perform analyses and modeling to support design decisions across disciplines.
Prepare construction drawings using CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit).
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to align designs with project goals.
Review requirements, codes, and standards for compliance.
Prepare technical reports and permitting documents.
Support project managers with scope, schedule, and budgeting.
Conduct site visits and collect data to inform designs.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulators to resolve issues.
Review shop drawings and RFIs for conformance with design intent.
Identify cost-effective, sustainable engineering solutions.
Maintain project documentation and quality control.
