Job summary

Ferrara/KME is seeking an entry-level Engineering Associate to assist in design, development, and implementation of technical products. You will perform basic engineering tasks under close supervision, using CAD/CAE tools to model structures and generate detailed drawings.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree in engineering or equivalent, up to 2 years of related experience, and a willingness to learn manufacturing processes with a focus on quality and lean principles.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent education required.
• Typically 0–2 years of related experience.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAE software and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with designing and developing minimum complexity products and components.
• Use CAD/CAE software to develop structural designs, create models, and produce drawings.
• Verify designs through calculations and analytical techniques.
• Understand manufacturing processes with emphasis on metal fabrication and assemblies.
• Apply DFM principles to deliver robust engineering packages.
• Fulfill customer requirements and review interface points.
• Define test requirements and interpret results to validate designs.
• Identify problems and root causes; define and execute resolutions.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts.
