ENTRUST Solutions Group invites you to join as a Design Engineer I to design overhead and underground electric distribution projects, supporting storm hardening, new construction, solar energy initiatives, reconductoring, and other grid improvements while learning from experienced engineers.

This role is primarily work-from-home with fieldwork across PA and nearby areas, involving on-site reviews with customers and crews to ensure accurate scope and execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET accredited university.
• 0-1 years of relevant work experience in consulting or related field.
• Knowledge of CAD or GIS Design is a plus.
• Strong work ethic with desire to work in a production environment.

Responsibilities

Join ENTRUST Solutions Group as a Design Engineer I and help design overhead and underground electric distribution projects that strengthen and modernize the power grid. You'll support storm hardening initiatives, new residential and commercial construction, solar energy projects, reconductoring, and other utility infrastructure improvements while learning from experienced engineers and growing your career.

What You’ll Do

• The objective of this role is to scope, design and develop electrical service systems for new customers.
• You will be responsible for customer interaction, scoping and cost estimation.
• You will be responsible for providing a design package that meets customer needs.
• You will often meet with the customer and construction crews on site to review the scope of our design and discuss project execution.
• Client Facing Experience
• This is a primarily work-from-home position that has required fieldwork we’re hiring across PPL Electric Utilities’ service territory including: Lock Haven, Bloomsburg, Sunbury, Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Hazleton, East Stroudsburg, Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, Harrisburg, Hershey, Lancaster, Doylestown, and nearby areas.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET accredited university

• Knowledge of Computer Aided Design or GIS Design is a plus
• Strong work ethic with desire to work in a production environment
