Job summary

Netafim seeks an irrigation design engineer to deliver detailed irrigation system designs, BOMs, and costings. You will prepare maps and technical drawings, coordinate with the project team, and ensure accurate specifications from pump stations to emitters.

Proficiency in IrriCAD/WCADI, AutoCAD, MS Office, and GIS tools is required. Fluency in English and strong communication are essential; hydraulics and micro irrigation knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in B.Tech / M.Tech in Agricultural Engineering with Agriculture studies.
• 0–5 years hands-on experience in irrigation system design.
• Experience preparing maps, BOMs, component specifications, and costings.
• Proficient with MS Office and AutoCAD; Hydraulics knowledge is essential.
• Knowledge of micro irrigation is a plus.

Required Education & Experience:

1) Degree in B. Tech / M. Tech Agricultural Graduate in Engineering discipline specialization with Agriculture studies.

• Core Design Practical Experience of at least, Fresh or 1-5 years of hand on Experience in an irrigation systems design or equivalent engineering practices.

Required :

• The candidate should be responsible to provide professional design works, which includes preparing maps, bill of materials, components specifications, systems costing, drawings, systems technical description etc. Manage daily interface between designer, application technician, and drafting.
• General Skills and Abilities: Be able to work independently with minimum direction and control, excellent verbal and written communications, team player, Fluent in using tools like power presentations, exec, word and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Irrigation system design with Hydraulics will be a must.

• Fluent in using tools like MS Office and AutoCAD software in regards to Irrigation system Design

• Knowledge of micro irrigation industry preferred
• Detailed planning of all components of the irrigation project, from the pump station/head control unit to the emitter.
• Comprehensive expertise in key irrigation system components—pumping solutions, filtration assemblies, valve mechanisms, fittings and all ancillary accessories.
• For execution, production of complete BOM (Bill of Material) required for Quotation for the Irrigation Design.
• Capable of delivering high‑quality work under tight schedules, strict deadlines, and demanding conditions.
• Dexterity and manage in English.
• Initiative, creativity, and strong technical aptitude will be considered an advantage.
• Multi-tasking - simultaneously work with several jobs / tasks.

Generality Assignments breakdown

• Understand collection data, Final Irrigation Design drawing & prepare an Irrigation system design in Irrigation software IrriCAD / or any other that’s WCADI
• Coordination with Project team (Designer, Implementation and Draftsman) from the Detailed Characterization to the Final Design.

Mandatory Software to be known

• Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint

• Irrigation design Software like, IrriCAD / WCADI (Proficiency is Must)
