Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a Design Engineer - Engine Installation and Cooling to advance automotive cooling and exhaust system integration. The role focuses on radiator mounting, engine cooling, fuel line routing, air intake assembly, and exhaust system installation within NPI and CPI contexts.

The engineer will conduct simulations (FEA/CFD), testing, and validation of designs, using Creo and Creo Simulate, to ensure robust packaging and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and Continuous Product Improvement (CPI).
• Hands-on design experience in automotive cooling and exhaust systems.
• Familiarity with engine installation and mounting constraints.

Responsibilities

• Drive NPI and CPI initiatives.
• Design and validate components for radiator mounting, engine cooling, and engine mounting.
• Route fuel lines and hoses, mount air intake systems.
• Mount exhaust systems and ensure emission norms compliance.
• Package and integrate mechanical components for machine packaging.

Skills required JD & Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities:

Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) and Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) initiatives.

Expertise in Radiators mounting, Engine cooling components and engine mounting

Expertise in Fuel Lines, Hose routing, and mounting of Air intake systems

Sound Experience in Exhaust systems mounting and Emission norms

Hands on experience in Machine packaging / integration

Conduct simulations (FEA/CFD), testing, and validation of designs.

Additional skillset:

Demonstrated experience in the following tools/methods:

• o Creo
• o Creo Simulate

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $40.0 per hour

Pay Range Maximum: $42.00 per hour

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate's pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
