Job summary

Workforce Recruiter in the United States is seeking a Design Engineer to support product platforms and engineering initiatives, collaborating with Sales, Manufacturing, and Engineering to develop practical, manufacturable designs that meet customer requirements.

You will prepare detailed drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD/DraftsSight, develop design proposals, and support ECOs, design reviews, and on-site commissioning as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in mechanical design or electrical design.
• At least 1 year of engineering, design, or application engineering experience.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review customer and sales design specifications to evaluate product requirements.
• Collaborate with Sales and customers to identify solutions meeting requirements.
• Prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD, DraftSight and SolidWorks.
• Develop design proposals and drawing packages for quotations.
• Analyze product specs to create manufacturable designs.
• Modify designs to meet customer requirements.
• Support ECOs for assigned product lines and participate in design reviews.
• Initiate tests, analyze results, and propose design improvements.
• Provide engineering support to manufacturing and assist with shop floor issues.
• Interpret regulatory requirements and ensure compliance.
