Job summary

ATEC Spine, Inc. is seeking an engineer to design and develop customized surgical instruments. You will use SolidWorks to create concepts, model parts, and generate detailed drawings, while interfacing with surgeons and the Sales team to capture requirements.

The role involves intake and tracking in ServiceNOW, DFM/DFA collaboration with the machine shop, and producing cDHF documentation. Applicants should have 1–4 years in product development, preferably in spine devices.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in mechanical or biomedical engineering with an emphasis on mechanical design.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop customized instruments using SolidWorks.
• Intake, tracking and completing requests in ServiceNOW software platform.
• Generates design documentation for the project - Customized Design History File (cDHF).
• Works with machine shop on design for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA).
• Interfaces with Surgeons, Marketing, and Sales as to requirements of designs.
• Creates and processes Work Orders for manufacturing.
• Collaborates on the development of inspection methods.
• Attend grand rounds, labs, or surgeries to gain clinical experience.
• Other duties as assigned.
