Job summary

Snap Inc. seeks a Design Engineer to join the Design team focused on conceiving, prototyping, and iterating new products. You will rapidly bring ideas to life with functional prototypes and build internal tooling that changes how teams work across Snap.

Collaborate with product designers and user researchers to test ideas, lead cross-functional teams with managers and engineers, and present your work to the CEO and leadership. High-impact work awaits.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent years of experience.
• 6+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience; or MS/PhD with related experience.
• Experience with iOS application development (Objective-C and/or Swift).
• 3+ years of experience driving product strategy and/or design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Conceive, prototype, and iterate new products.
• Br​e​ak ground with functional prototypes to bring ideas to life.
• Build tooling and internal systems to improve Snap team workflows.
• Prototype across platforms including web, AR, and AI.
• Lead design-engineering collaboration to ship products to users.
• Invent new products leveraging technical background and design passion.
• Deliver impact on products used by hundreds of millions daily.
• Collaborate with designers and researchers to test ideas and iterate.
