Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer to join the Product Design team in Los Angeles.

This role focuses on conceiving, prototyping, and iterating new products, and building internal tooling that enhances how Snap teams work across platforms, including web, AR, and AI. You will collaborate with product designers and researchers to test ideas and present to leadership, delivering high-impact work for hundreds of millions of users daily.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a technical field or equivalent years of experience.
• 6+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience; or 5+ years with a Master’s; or 2+ years with a PhD.
• Experience with iOS application development (Objective-C and/or Swift).
• 3+ years of experience driving product strategy and/or design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Conceive, prototype, and iterate new products.
• Quickly bring new ideas to life through functional prototypes.
• Build creative tooling and internal systems for Snap teams.
• Prototype on web, AR, and AI platforms.
• Collaborate with engineers to ship products to users.
• Lead cross-functional teams with PMs and engineers.
