Job summary

Ware Malcomb is seeking a Design Engineer to support project Engineers/Managers on land development projects in California. The role provides exposure to design across multiple project stages, with guidance from senior engineers.

Ideal for a recent graduate or junior engineer, you will contribute to drainage, utility and stormwater design, and assist in producing construction documents, with strong AutoCAD and Civil3D skills and solid communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 1 year (or less) experience in Civil Engineering is acceptable for entry.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil3D; strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Engineer or Project Manager in designing commercial and residential land development projects.
• Prepare drainage, utility, and stormwater management designs.
• Provide AutoCAD support for project documents.
• Perform design calculations for drainage, utilities, and stormwater analyses.
• Assist with construction services site visits and review of shop drawings.
• Conduct project code searches and analyses for each project.
• Support submittals to jurisdiction agencies and coordinate with clients and team members.
