Job summary

Pivotal Health Solutions in Watertown, SD is seeking a Design Engineer to take products from concept to production. You will design components using SolidWorks, perform engineering analysis, prepare specifications, and work with manufacturing and quality teams to maintain design intent.

The role requires strong CAD skills and engineering fundamentals, with the opportunity to lead projects, train staff, and contribute to process improvements. Travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

4 year university engineering degree or 2 year tech school degree.
Advanced math skills and ability to understand abstract principles in math and physics.
Willingness to travel for meetings, site visits and inspections.
Flexible schedule and ability to work with others across departments.

Responsibilities

Prepare engineering analysis including preliminary design, calculations and equipment selection.
Create and interpret 2D/3D CAD models and drawings in SolidWorks.
Review changes to engineering standards and ensure compliance with practices.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality and sourcing to maintain design intent.
Perform analyses (FEA, thermal, stress) to validate designs.
Provide technical presentations to customers and staff.
