Job summary

The Planet Group, located in Chicago, is seeking a Design Engineer to expand and develop cost-effective design solutions. The role entails working closely with the sales team and providing detailed CAD data for manufacturing. Candidates should have 3+ years in wood/metal manufacturing and proficiency in 3D solid modeling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as an Engineer in a wood or metal manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing techniques in the wood and/or metal industries.
• Ability to manage multiple small projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Produce fixture design & drawings as required for internal & customer review.
• Manage your custom projects to assure on-time completion.
• Interact regularly with production/manufacturing to assure design/production flow.
