Storyteller Overland, LLC in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a Design Engineer to own design challenges within the TED team. You will take full ownership from concept to resolution, and serve as a brand ambassador for our community of vanlifers.

Responsibilities include SolidWorks modeling, FEA, DFM, working with manufacturing, and mentoring drafters, with schedules 8 to 5 M-F and office on West Park Place.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 4+ years SolidWorks modeling experience including sheet metal and weldments.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, modify, and maintain SolidWorks parts and assemblies to project specs.
• Model vehicle components and production support equipment with design teams.
• Perform static, dynamic, and fatigue FEA analysis.
• Lead safety-critical design initiatives with an FMEA-driven approach.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to align designs with As-Built specs.
• Delegate tasks to drafters and manage project milestones.
