Climatec, LLC seeks Design Engineer (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 300 Broadacres Dr, Bloomfield, NJ 07003.

Responsibilities:

1. Design control projects to meet scope of work and budget as defined by contract documents and sales estimates, ensuring equipment compatibility.
2. Provide detailed sequences of operations.
3. Interpret project documents, estimates, and other available information to select proper equipment to achieve the required scope in the most economical and functional manner.
4. Accurately forecast labor requirements for engineering projects and track progress to meet budget and forecast goals.
5. Recommend technical solutions to sales and operations teams.
6. Research outside purchase products continuously.
7. Support Climatec and other contractors in solving building operating issues beyond control operations.
8. Communicate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely engineering outputs.
9. Assist in estimation, value engineering, design, installation, startup, commissioning, and training for building systems.
10. Engage with external organizations like consulting engineers and building owners for coordination.
11. Support ongoing service engineering and support for existing building systems.
12. Complete bills of material for projects, order materials, and manage design changes throughout the project lifecycle.
13. Recommend new products for better functionality and value.
14. Generate RFIs for design clarification and suggest solutions.
15. Create detailed plans indicating sensor locations for electricians and system specialists.
16. Assist sales during estimation/bid phases with design support.
17. Develop and maintain a library of engineering standards for Climatec and the industry.
18. Use BIM to coordinate panel and conduit locations on large projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or in a role involving Building Management Systems.
• Experience with:
• Computer systems including MS Office Suite.
• AutoCAD or Revit.
• Mechanical/electrical plans.
• Troubleshooting electric and electronic circuitry, reading electrical wiring diagrams.
• HVAC operations.
• DDC systems controlling buildings.

Wage Range: $140,109.00 to $140,109.00.
