CodeRabbit is seeking a Design Engineer who lives at the intersection of design and code. You will prototype, build, and polish UI across IDEs, Git platforms, the CLI, and the web, delivering interactions with high fidelity and trust for developers using AI-generated suggestions.

This high-ownership role collaborates with design, engineering, and AI teams to ship fast, create a cohesive design system in code, and push the envelope on AI-native interfaces for developer tools.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years in design engineering, front-end, or product design with a portfolio.
• Proven ability to ship complex UI from design to production in fast-moving environments.
• Experience building design systems and component libraries across platforms.
• Strong command of modern tooling and design tools (TypeScript, React, CSS, Figma).

Responsibilities

• Build production-quality UI and interactions across IDEs, CLI, and web.
• Prototype rapidly to validate AI-enabled experiences in hours, not days.
• Bridge design and engineering, translating designs into pixel-perfect code.
• Own UI execution quality, including motion and micro-interactions.
• Build and maintain a reusable design system in code across platforms.
• Make complex data and AI insights legible with clear visualizations.
• Stay close to AI capabilities and define native interaction paradigms.
