$80,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

Design Engineer – Eastridge Workforce Solutions

Key Responsibilities
CAD Design
  • Utilize CAD software to design detailed 3D components
  • Develop multi-level 3D assemblies
  • Create detailed 2D component and assembly drawings
  • Leverage engineering expertise to contribute to product development
Engineering Evaluation & Research
  • Conduct first article inspections and evaluations of new products
  • Perform functional testing in test and assembly areas
  • Research and test material properties, including strength and behavior
Product Specifications Maintenance
  • Update and modify product specification sheets using CAD software
  • Distribute updated specifications across various departments
Bill of Materials (BOM) Management
  • Create and maintain master BOMs and assembly drawings for all products
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency between BOMs in the MRP system and master drawings
  • Maintain uniform part numbering across all BOMs
Technical Writing
  • Assist in developing and updating installation instructions
  • Incorporate engineering changes into existing documentation
Additional Responsibilities
  • Make key decisions that impact production efficiency and business productivity
  • Exercise sound judgment to enhance operations
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at improving quality, safety, and efficiency
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management

Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience using SolidWorks 3D CAD software
  • Knowledge of basic drafting principles
  • Familiarity with engineering tools (e.g., calipers, thread gauges)
  • Preferred: Experience with AutoCAD, metal manufacturing processes, multi-level BOMs, and MRP/ERP systems
