  • - System design and development: Conceptualize electronic security system designs, establish system requirements, and develop technical specifications that align with client objectives and project constraints.
  • - Client and project collaboration: Work directly with clients, Design Engineering teams, and Sales Leadership to define project scope, develop solutions, establish budgets and timelines, and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • - Technical planning and coordination: Provide technical expertise and coordination information to support system architecture, installation planning, integration, and implementation of electronic security solutions.
  • - Project documentation: Prepare bills of materials (BOMs), equipment schedules, technical proposals, project estimates, and supporting documentation. Develop detailed design drawings at the 30%, 60%, and 90% stages, as well as issued-for-construction (IFC) documentation.
  • - Technology research and recommendations: Evaluate emerging technologies, assess available solutions, and recommend appropriate products and systems based on client requirements, project objectives, and industry standards.
  • - Project lifecycle support: Contribute throughout the project lifecycle, including pre-sales activities, conceptualization, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, construction administration, and commissioning support.
  • - Commercial and account support: Contribute to project profitability and performance where applicable, support resource planning, and help maintain long-term client relationships through consistent technical delivery and account collaboration.
  • - Technical guidance and problem-solving: Provide direction and counsel to junior engineering personnel, assist with issue resolution, and support the delivery of complex electronic security projects under the guidance of Design Engineering Management.
  • - Industry knowledge and professional development: Stay informed about industry developments through trade publications, conferences, seminars, educational forums, and manufacturer training.
