Job summary

Jobot is seeking a highly skilled Permanent Design Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on designing and developing structural systems for commercial steel projects, collaborating with architects, contractors, and engineers to deliver safe, compliant designs.

You will use CAD software to create detailed plans, participate in site visits, and ensure projects meet schedule and budget. A PE license and 5+ years in structural steel construction are preferred; remote U.S. work is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in structural and commercial steel construction.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency with CAD software and engineering design tools.

3. Use advanced computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed structural designs and plans.

Qualifications

1. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or higher will be considered a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry, specifically in structural and commercial steel construction.
3. A valid Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
4. Proficiency in using CAD software and other engineering design tools.
5. A strong understanding of engineering principles, techniques, and procedures.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
7. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
8. A proactive approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
9. A commitment to maintaining high safety standards and a thorough understanding of construction regulations and standards.
