Job summary

Infosys Limited in the United States is seeking an Engineering Consultant 2 to elicit requirements, translate them into actionable specifications, and support iterative design cycles in aerospace structures. You will lead design reviews, validate with simulations, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure design integrity and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in a related field; three years of experience may substitute for education.
• Experience in design, validation, manufacture and delivery of aircraft fuselage and propulsion structures.
• Ability to manage tolerances, cost and manufacturability while meeting regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

In the assigned Job Role of Engineering Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Elicit and document business and technical requirements, translating them into actionable specifications for the team
• Participate in design meetings, create initial design concepts, and support the development of design sketches and models using established engineering tools and techniques
• Participate in iterative engineering design cycles, refine prototypes, and coordinate with teams to implement feedback effectively
• Develop and refine solution specifications and perform validation activities, including simulations, to ensure that engineering solutions meet design specifications and criteria
• Build and refine prototypes, incorporating testing results and feedback received from cross-functional team, to enhance functionality
• Undertake technical integration efforts, ensure system functionality, identify and resolve interoperability issues
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and assist in organizing knowledge-sharing sessions among team members

Required Skill and Experience

• Design, validation, manufacture, and delivery of aircraft Fuselage and propulsion structure components.
• Areas of expertise may include primary and secondary structure design, payloads design, and lofting
• Design of components considering Tolerance stack up, cost effectiveness, manufacturability, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
• Expertise on GD&T Functional Tolerance and Annotations
• Collaborate with stakeholders - Present Reviews and gate checks - prelim, Intermediate and Critical design review
• Present the solution in the meetings to various stake holders of the customer.
• Ensure to meet the agreed schedule with the customer and their suppliers by releasing the parts.

Preferred Skill and Experience

• Knowledge of Aerospace industry and standards
• Experience in CATIA V5 (Surface design, Sheet metal, Tubing\\Ducting, Composites)
• Experience in Enovia
• Experience in the design of Aero-structures \\ /acelle Systems
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 and the ability to initiate and implement engineering design and process changes for aircraft components and assemblies.

Additional Required Qualifications

• • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
