Job summary

MTD Water is seeking a Design Engineer to join our Engineering & Design team. You will design temporary water infrastructure tailored to event client needs and collaborate with project managers, operations and sales from our Atlanta and Las Vegas offices, while reporting to the Manager Engineering & Design in the Netherlands.

You will travel to potential project sites in the United States and contribute to improvement projects within the team, applying CAD tools and your civil or mechanical

Qualifications

• Education in civil or mechanical engineering.
• 0 - 4 years working experience as an engineer, technical planner, mechanical engineer/designer.
• Good verbal and written knowledge of the English language.
• You are a problem solver, analytical and a team player.
• You have an eye for detail, a hands-on mindset and can think out of the box.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing temporary water infrastructure systems tailored to events/client needs.
• Serve as a key sparring partner for internal and external stakeholders worldwide.
• Making project calculations and planning.
• Ensuring high-quality project drawings and material planning.
• Visits to potential project sites in the United States.
• Contribute to improvement projects within the team.

Job description

As a driven Design Engineer at MTD, you will work with your colleagues from our Atlanta and Las Vegas office. Together with the rest of the Engineering & Design department, you will focus on excellent project preparation/drawings of our unique temporary water infrastructure. Most of the Engineering & Design department works from our headquarters in Tilburg.

Location MTD Atlanta office

We work globally on the biggest projects in the event industry such as Tomorrowland, Coachella, Olympics, World Cup games and Formula 1. How cool is it to play a crucial role in the success of these events, especially for the US! After thorough training, you will create and customise designs according to our clients’ requirements. You will work closely with our project managers, operations and sales and can count on support from your direct colleagues/manager in the E&D department.

You are the essential link in the chain of the project process. After receiving an order (via our Sales department), you ensure smooth and technical project preparation/calculation within the agreed deadlines, so that Operations can get to work on it.
