This is an in‑office position with relocation assistance being offered.
The Design Engineer – Buildings is responsible for the design, configuration, and release of MXS building products, including both concrete and metal structures. This role oversees the product from concept through production release and ensures designs are structurally sound, manufacturable, fully documented, and aligned with customer requirements and MXS engineering standards. This position plays a key role in shaping the future of MXS building products by driving engineering quality, consistency, and scalable design practices across the organization.
The Design Engineer partners closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and external engineering firms to support successful product development and production readiness. This position is responsible for setting standards for engineering, new product introduction (NPI), engineering change management, and design‑for‑manufacturing initiatives.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
