POSITION OVERVIEW:

BrainWorks is partnered with a leading manufacturer to find a highly skilled and creative Design Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for researching and developing innovative products, technologies, components, processes, and systems to enhance performance and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with business and product-launch teams, ensuring that all CAD designs meet specifications and performance goals. You will oversee the entire design process, from inception to delivery into manufacturing, incorporating feedback to ensure smooth integration and continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct research and development of new products, components, and technologies to improve performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with business and product-launch teams to ensure that CAD designs meet functional specifications and performance goals.
• Oversee the design process from the concept stage to manufacturing, ensuring that all design requirements are met.
• Use CAD/CAE software to create and evaluate prototypes, making adjustments as needed to meet specifications.
• Participate in design reviews, presenting and critiquing design ideas to improve product quality and performance.
• Develop cost proposals and evaluate cost-effective design solutions.
• Conduct simulations to validate design and prototype functionality.
• Manage the Bill of Materials (BOM), CAD models, and engineering drawings throughout the product development process.
• Identify and resolve design-related issues during the development process, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4 (+) years as a Design Engineer
• Experience using CAD/CAE software for prototype design and development.
• Proficiency in Windchill and Creo is highly preferred.
