Qualifications

• BSME or Associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years in a similar design role.

• Hands-on approach to building and testing prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Design system components and assemblies focusing on aesthetics, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

• Prepare technical drawings and BOM revisions.
• Oversee the design-to-manufacturing process, including installation and support.

• Conduct prototyping and stress analysis to ensure design robustness.
• Communicate effectively with vendors to request quotes and approve components.
• Prepare and approve technical drawings and documentation, including bill of materials and revisions.
• Oversee the engineering process from design through to manufacturing, installation, production, and support.
• Engage in hands‑on manufacturing of design prototypes.
• Contribute to system engineering, standard design modifications, and installation drawings.
• Provide engineering support during installations and follow‑up activities.
• Assist with sales demonstrations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or an Associate's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and measure accurately using a ruler and calipers.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.47/hr.
