Job summary

Advanced Conversion Technology (ACT) seeks a hands-on Electrical Design Engineer to design, develop, improve and test custom power supplies from concept through production.

Our lab enables rapid prototyping and engineers liaise with customers on requirements, providing technical proposals in response to RFQs with a strong culture of mentorship and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• BSEE/BSEET required with MS a plus.
• Strong analog design and power supply experience.
• Familiarity with rectifiers, regulators, oscillators, filters and inductors.
• Experience with Buck/Boost/Flyback topologies and isolated/non-isolated designs.
• Proficient with oscilloscopes, electronic loads, AC/DC sources, spectrum/power analyzers.
• Experience in ECAD tools such as Altium, KiCAD, Eagle, Mentor Graphics.

Job Summary

ACT is seeking a hands-onElectrical Design Engineer focused on designing, developing, improving and testing new or existing custom electronic power supplies and products from concept through production. Those concepts can be proven out in our on-site, well-equipped engineering development lab. Our engineers also interface with customers on requirements and provide technical proposals in response to requests for quotes. We have a strong mentorship program and believe strongly in collaboration between sales, engineering and manufacturing.

Must Have Qualifications

• BSEE/BSEET required with MS a plus
• Engineering skills to include analog design with preference to power supply design experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of analog circuits, such as rectifier circuits, regulators, oscillators, amplifiers, filters, inductors and their electronic schematics
• Familiarity with non-isolated and isolated power electronic topologies such as Buck, Boost, Buck Boost, Flyback, Forward, Half-Bridge, Full-Bridge
• Demonstrated working knowledge of oscilloscopes, electronic loads, AC and DC sources, spectrum analyzers, power analyzers, and LCR meters
• Experience in ECAD software (Altium, KiCAD, Eagle, Mentor Graphics, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
