Job summary

Workforce Solutions is partnering with a family-owned manufacturing company to hire a Design Engineer/Product Designer for their Madison, WI site. You will own the full design lifecycle from concept through production, translating ideas into finished products seen in retail environments.

The ideal candidate will prototype and model parts, produce clear drawings and BOMs, and collaborate across teams to ensure designs are buildable and efficient.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD required; experience with Blender or other 3D modeling tools is a plus.
• Ability to produce clear, accurate technical drawings and BOMs.
• Self-starter who can manage projects independently.
• Strong organizational and file management skills.
• Solid communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts.
• ERP system experience (such as Odoo) is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, design, or fabrication environment preferred.
• Recent technical graduates with strong portfolios are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

We are currently working with a family-owned manufacturing company seeking a Design Engineer/Product Designer for their Madison, WI location. This is an opportunity to work on real-world projects from concept through production, where your designs will directly translate into finished products seen in retail environments.

What's the role?

We are looking for a practical, creative designer who can take ideas from concept to production-ready execution with minimal oversight. This role offers ownership of the full design lifecycle-from initial concept through modeling, documentation, and production handoff.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys seeing their work come to life and thrives in a collaborative, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities Include

What will my schedule look like?

This is a full-time, onsite role working Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
