Job summary

Yetter Manufacturing is seeking a Design Engineer to join our team in Macomb, Illinois. You will design and develop new products, improve existing designs, and lead projects from concept to production release.

Work primarily in an office setting with collaboration across production, R&D, and testing environments. Proficiency with CREO and GD&T is required; travel may be needed. First shift 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or related field.
• Experience in product design within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with CREO, MS Office and related software; GD&T understanding.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products, and improve existing products.
• Lead projects from concept to production release, including prototype development and BOM creation.
• Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Serve as product technical expert for production, sales and service.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Open position: Design Engineer

Join the Yetter Manufacturing Team!

Yetter Manufacturing is seeking a Design Engineer to join our team in Macomb, Illinois. If you enjoy solving complex problems, designing innovative products, and seeing your ideas move from concept to production, we'd love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop new products and improve existing products
• Use CREO to create 3D models, designs, and engineering drawings
• Lead projects from concept to production release, including prototype development, testing, product BOM creation, and drawing development
• Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
• Serve as a product technical expert for production, sales, and service departments
• Manage multiple engineering projects while meeting deadlines, quality standards, and customer expectations

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in product design within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with CREO, Microsoft Office, and other applicable software
• Understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes
• Strong problem-solving skills, communication, and project management skills
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening

Preferred Qualifications

• Agriculture or farming background with knowledge of agricultural equipment
• Experience with FEA software

Role Specifics

• First Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, plus required overtime as scheduled
• Primarily office-based with collaboration in production, R&D, and testing environments
• Occasional travel between facilities and field-testing locations
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
