Job description

Design Innovative Products. Solve Complex Challenges. Make an Impact.

We're looking for a talented Design Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this role, you'll design and develop innovative fluid-handling products that deliver exceptional performance, reliability, and manufacturability. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring new products to market, enhance existing designs, and support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen our reputation for industry-leading fuel transfer equipment.

If you're passionate about engineering, product development, and turning ideas into high-quality products, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical fluid-handling products, including pumps, meters, and related equipment.
  • Create 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation using SolidWorks and other engineering tools.
  • Develop prototypes, conduct testing, analyze results, and refine designs to optimize performance and manufacturability.
  • Perform engineering analyses, including material selection, structural evaluations, fluid dynamics, and failure investigations.
  • Ensure products meet applicable regulatory and compliance standards, including UL, CE, ATEX, IECEx, and CSA requirements.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to support successful product launches and ongoing production.
  • Manage engineering changes, maintain Bills of Material, and ensure documentation accuracy within ERP and document control systems.
  • Support legacy products, customer-specific solutions, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, cost, and performance.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Two to five years of product development or mechanical design experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering documentation.
  • Experience with product testing, validation, root cause analysis, and design optimization.
  • Familiarity with hazardous-location product standards and regulatory compliance is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP and Product Data Management (PDM) systems is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Why Join Us?

  • Design innovative products used by customers around the world.
  • Work alongside a collaborative team focused on engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Influence new product development from concept through production.
  • Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods while working in office, engineering laboratory, and manufacturing environments. The successful candidate must be able to occasionally lift up to 35 pounds, use hand tools for product assembly and disassembly, and safely handle petroleum-based fluids while utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment in laboratory and shop settings.

The role requires sustained concentration, analytical thinking, and problem-solving to perform detailed engineering work. Occasional travel (up to 10%) to suppliers, customers, and other company facilities may be required.

Ready to help engineer the next generation of industry-leading products? Apply today and become part of a team committed to innovation, quality, and engineering excellence.
