Job summary

Eagle Group in Clayton, Delaware, is seeking a Design Engineer to support manufacturing by creating working designs of custom equipment, considering customer requirements, Eagle processes, and regulatory standards. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Formal CAD software education (OnShape, PTC Creo, SolidWorks preferred).
  • Experience in custom product engineering or manufacturing projects (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and develop design solutions to meet customers’ needs.
  • Create working models and shop drawings utilizing 3D CAD software.
  • Prepare and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) for custom designs in support of manufacturing and MRP requirements.
  • Interpret approved submittals drawings, project specifications, industry standards, manufacturing processes, and regulatory standards to create manufacturing documents for fabrication.
  • Maintain organized and accurate engineering files and records within company systems.
  • Collaborate with teams inside and outside Eagle to clarify and outline design details.
  • Continue to drive innovation across operations.
  • Other duties as needed.

About the Role:

The Design Engineer plays a critical role in supporting the manufacturing process by creating working designs of custom equipment while considering customer requirements, Eagle manufacturing processes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This role requires a highly detail-oriented individual with CAD experience, strong problem solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Formal education in CAD software (OnShape, PTC Creo, Solid Works preferred)

  • Experience with custom product engineering or manufacturing projects.
  • Associate’s degree in engineering or related technical field preferred
