Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking an innovative mechanical design engineer to own the development of custom manufacturing and automation equipment for next-generation fiber optic products supporting AI data center markets. You will lead projects from concept through deployment, designing precision tooling, fixtures, and motion systems.

You will collaborate with controls, process, and manufacturing teams to deliver production-ready solutions, create CAD models and drawings, and apply GD&T and tolerance

Qualifications

• Experience designing custom automation equipment and tooling.
• Proficient with SolidWorks and CAD modeling.
• Understanding GD&T and tolerance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design custom automation equipment, tooling, and fixtures.
• Create CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
• Apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, and design-for-manufacturing principles.
• Support prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities.
• Integrate motion systems, actuators, sensors, and other mechanical components.
• Collaborate with controls, process, and manufacturing teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
