Revcor, Inc. in Carpentersville, IL, seeks an engineer to design and redesign air-moving equipment across HVAC and industrial sectors. You will translate customer specs into robust 3D models and drawings, applying fluid flow, vibration, and material considerations.
The role requires hands-on drafting, testing, and advising manufacturing and cost-estimating activities. Proficiency in SolidWorks/AutoCAD and clear communication are essential; travel to customer plants may be required.
This position is responsible for designing and redesigning new and existing air-moving equipment used in HVAC, agriculture, appliances, energy and power generation, health care, transportation, food service, manufacturing, and marine applications. The individual must have working knowledge of moving and rotating machinery, along with a strong foundation in machine design principles, including airflow, sound, vibration, and machinery natural frequency analysis.
The position requires working with customer specifications. The individual must be able to interpret and apply different customer specifications to the design and selection of fans and blowers. Working knowledge of fluid flow is essential. Familiarity with different chemicals and metal alloys is a plus. A strong verbal and written communication are required. The position requires someone who can multi-task, very methodically, and can work independently with very little supervision. Organization and accuracy are a must. Perform drafting, testing, and building of models for a complete product and advise in manufacturing and cost estimating.
