Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for a Design Engineer to join a design services company for mission critical systems. This is based in Ashburn, VA.

Essential Duties of the Design Engineer:

• Developing, Identifying, Coordinating, and Tracking project requirements
• Coordinating detailed telecommunications pathway designs to support inside and outside plant cabling infrastructure to include fill calculations, BIM, etc.
• Identifying, writing and responding to Requests for Information (RFI)
• Producing coordinated detailed design and construction drawings in AutoCAD or REVIT based on project requirements and specifications.
• Creating and managing cable run lists/system labeling
• Identifying products, creating Bill of Materials, and developing

Qualifications of the Design Engineer:

• 2+ year of experience
• Good experience with 2D design with AutoCAD or Revit.
• Experience in structured cabling projects including ISP and OSP.
• B.S. in Engineering or related field.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance in the future.

Compensation for the Design Engineer:

• $100,000 - $115,000 (based on experience)
