Mercana is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our Newport News distribution team. The role covers outbound picking/packing, inbound receiving, and overall inventory control, with a dedicated focus on sample management for reviews and photoshoots.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in warehouse operations and picking/packing; sample handling and product assembly an asset.
• Basic computer acumen; familiarity with RF scanners, WMS, and barcode / inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

• Outbound — Picking & Packing: Gather items from bins and pack orders for shipment in a timely manner.
• Outbound — Loading: Load palletized orders into delivery vessels and ensure proper wrapping, labeling, and documentation.
• Inbound — Receiving & Put‑Away: Stock and organize inventory; confirm receipt against BOL; inspect for damage.
• Returns Processing: Process returns; update inventory; ensure timely processing on eCommerce platform.
• Inventory Counting & Control: Participate in audits; communicate movements; maintain accurate records.
• Sample Management: Pick, assemble, and label samples for product reviews and photoshoots.
• General Warehouse Duties & Safety: Follow safety protocols; operate forklift/pallet jack; keep workspace clean.
