Job summary

Lee Douglas Interiors Inc. in Omaha, NE is seeking a Design & Retail Sales professional to blend interior design insight with merchandising and deliver an exceptional customer experience. You’ll help select furnishings, styling, and showroom presentation while supporting showroom operations.

Work alongside the Retail Manager to lead daily store operations, drive sales initiatives, and stay current on product trends and company promotions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Interior Design preferred (or equivalent professional design experience).
• Experience in residential interior design, furniture sales, or luxury retail preferred.
• Strong understanding of furniture, color, scale, and home decor.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
• Comfortable using point-of-sale systems and technology.
• Customer-focused with dedication to delivering outstanding service.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Basic math skills for cash handling.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading the daily operations of the retail store, including opening and closing procedures.
• Create an inviting and inspiring shopping environment through exceptional merchandising and showroom presentation.
• Build relationships with customers by understanding their style, needs, and project goals.
• Provide product recommendations using your design expertise.
• Support the Retail Manager in achieving sales goals.
• Stay current on new products, industry trends, and company promotions.
• Assist with inventory management, receiving merchandise, tagging products, and showroom placement.
• Address customer concerns professionally and elevate issues when appropriate.
• Support company events, seasonal floor changes, and promotional initiatives.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide a seamless customer experience.
• Must be able to work a rotating Saturday schedule, surrounding holidays, and evenings if necessary for events.
