Job summary

Urban Outfitters seeks a Design Director to lead the BDG lifestyle vision across denim and casual wovens, translating concepts into a forward, differentiated assortment for the customer. Qualifications

• 10–12+ years in apparel design with denim and casual wovens and proven leadership.
• Strong portfolio showing differentiated, commercially successful product.
• Executive presence with ability to influence senior partners and teams.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and product-development systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the BDG Lifestyle Vision across denim and casual wovens and translate concepts into a distinct BDG POV.
• Build seasonal roadmaps and assortment architecture with clear differentiation.
• Drive denim evolution: silhouette, wash, fabric, fit, and related development.
• Lead wash and raw-material direction; partner with PD, R&D, Sourcing, and Production.
• Set and validate product standards from concept to finalization; ensure quality and fit.
• Lead and develop a high-performing design team; align cross-functional partners.
