Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Design Criteria Engineer (Falcon & Dragon) to ensure that flight hardware and operations meet design requirements for launch vehicles and spacecraft. The role involves cross-disciplinary collaboration and developing verification approaches for new systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
1+ years hardware engineering experience.
Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.

Responsibilities

Ensure design process and criteria are followed for flight/launch systems.
Provide peer review and approval of hardware designs during design reviews and tests.
Develop design criteria, requirements, and verification approaches for new systems.
Set up processes for reliable operations of launch vehicles and spacecraft.
Drive design improvements in collaboration with hardware teams.
Review vehicle changes to ensure qualification of all hardware/operations.
Develop specialized design and analysis tools for other engineering groups.
